Certified Ontario Beef - Partners in healthy beef production.

Welcome to the first "Certified Ontario Beef" Sale !!!

It is with great pride we welcome all our fellow beef producers to an event we have talked about for years. We are both so very busy with the operation of our breeding operations and family farms, off farm responsibilities and an exhausting travel schedule  -  has been hard to make this Sale a priority. But we have and we both stand committed as this as our major efforts in the cattle business. We call the new sale "Certified Ontario Beef" and invite all producers in Ontario to join with us sale day.

First, we are Ontario Beef producers. We believe in what we are doing here in Ontario and we have plans for the long term commitment to this sale.

Second, we believe in a certain model of production -- Balanced Breeding Aims.  Balanced Genetic Trait Leaders. Production models. Ron & I have spent 14 years through the operation of over 500 registered cows between us to develop this model & idealisms.

Third, we believe the end product is red meat.  We believe it is a healthy food choice & we believe that a production chain needs to be put into place that supports that.

Fourth, we believe in loving what one does for a living. We love beef cattle and the production of beef, and find there is nothing more gratifying than walking out in the cowherd to get lost in one's thoughts, and enjoy a cowherd content grazing in the twilight. We both reside in rural Ontario on beef farms.

Welcome to the sale. It is late in 2003, cowherd numbers are at a 35 year low, this thing is about to change for the better. When the border opens, we will immediately go to the market US price. We are very optimistic.

We thank Brian Pogue for his efforts in organizing the sale & catalogue, and welcome Jack McCoubrey & Carl Wright's assistance for this sale.

If we can help in any way, please let us know.

Sincerely;
Greg Nolan & Ron Wooddisse
